8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS - Full Board
Desert, sea, mountains, fortresses, ancient history; a journey into the realm of the Sultan, to appreciate the character of this great discovery from the Oman is a metain-contaminated, where daily life is genuinely anchored to ancient traditions. You breathe an authentic atmosphere, still far from the influx of mass tourism. They extend from the Strait of Hormuz to the Indian Ocean for about 1700 kilometers, offering enchanting sceneries between fjords, crystalline bays, and deserts of golden sand, verdant oases, punctuated daunt fortifications and colorful markets, imbued with the fragrance of incense. This itinerary has been developed to enhance all these aspects and also includes two nights on the island of Masirah, a jewel overlooking the MarArabico.
First day: Muscat.
Arrival at the International airport of Muscat, meeting with the local assistant and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in the rooms. Breakfast. Appointment with the Italian speaking guide and transfer from the hotel to the old town of Mutrah, in time to enjoy a walk at sunset, on the promenade that encloses the port where the Sultan's Yacht is anchored.
Here you can enter the maze of alleys of the oldest market in the country, inebriated by the smell of incense and spices and the typical fragrance (Amouage), immersed in the vivid colors of the fabrics and the typical products of local craftsmanshi.
Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Second day: Muscat.
After breakfast, departure for the guided tour of the Great Mosque, the largest in the world, symbol of elegance and grandeur. The Mosque is built in Carrara marble, with its luxurious Swarovski crystal chandelier and its immense manufacture carpet Iranian.
Continue with a visit to the Museum (Bait al Zubair) for an introduction to Oman culture and history, and with the next stop at the AlʻAlam Royal Palace (exterior), a sumptuous building with columns inlaid with gold and ceramic mosaics blu.Il palace is surrounded by a well-kept garden of trees and flowers of rare species selected.
Continue to visit the two Twin Fortresses built for defense of the capital by the Portuguese in the 16th century (Al Gilali and Al Mirani).
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Third day: Wadi Bani Khaled – Wahiba ( 255km)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to discover one of the most evocative landscapes of Oman: Wadi Bani Khaled, a landscape with vivid color contrasts, born from the rugged appearance of the rocks and the rich vegetation reflected on the clear emerald green waters.
Waterfalls and natural pool make it an oasis of indescribable beauty. Time available for a swim in the wadi lagoons or for a little relaxation.
Continue to Wahiba sands, an oasis on the edge of the desert, protected by dunes of golden sand that stand out as far as the eye can see, where a 4x4 patrol is required, awaiting sunset. Arrival and accommodation in the reserved rooms at the elegant tented camp.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Fourth day:
Wahiba – Ras Al Rowais – Shanna – Isola di Masirah (230km)
Breakfast.
Excursion in the desert in 4x4 up and down the dunes. You will meet authentic Beduin settlements with the possibility of closely observing their habits, traditions and culture. Stop for lunch (picnic).
Continue towards Ras Al Rowais, a charming coastal town where the white dunes fade to embrace the sea. Short relaxing break.
Departure for Shanna, a typical fishing village with its characteristic port, from where fishing boats sail.
Boarding on the ferry to the island of Masirah (about 1 hour), the final stage of the day.
Arrival and check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Fifth day: Island of Masirah
Breakfast.
Full day to discover this spectacular island, still inhabited and known as Serepsis, already chosen as the strategic base of the Empire at the time of Alexander the Great. Masirahdista 20 km from the coast and covers a length of about 70 km, offering an arid and sparsely populated landscape. The main settlement is the village of Ras Hilf. The island is a real paradise for birdwatchers, lovers of peace and unspoiled nature (in the period between June and September you can witness the laying of turtle eggs).
Full day immersed in nature, with a stop for grilled fish and crabs on the beach.
Arrival and check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Sixth day:
Masirah Island - Shanna - Al Khabbah - Ras Al Hadd - Ras Al Jinz (324Km)
Breakfast.
Boarding and departure by ferry via Shanna to the town of Al Khabbah, where the coast stands out against the sea with high and spectacular headlands.
Continue to Ras Al Hadd, a promontory located at the extreme east of the Oman peninsula, to finally reach the locality of Ras Al jinz.
Check in. Dinner.
After dinner, evening excursion to the protected area along the beach, to observe the laying of turtles' eggs.
Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Seventh day :
Ras Al Jinz – Sur – Wadi Tiwi – Bimah – Muscat (250Km)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for a panoramic visit to the picturesque city of Sur, capital of the Sharqiya region, from ancient charm, where even today the artisan construction of typical Omani boats, dhows, is active. Visit to a shipyard.
The next stop in Wadi Tiwi includes a short walk, in a breathtaking landscape, between rocks and lush palms of dates and banana trees and small local villages. Visit to Bimah: unique geological formation consisting of a large crater that collects crystalline waters where you can take a short break for a bit of relaxation and take a bath.
Return to Muscat. Check in. Dinner and overnight stay.
Eighth day: Muscat
After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for dispatching and departure formalities.

The individual participation fee (minimum 2 people) includes:
- Private transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa
- Tour as per itinerary, with 4x4 car transport
- Italian speaking guide for the duration of the trip
- Accommodation in the listed 4-star hotels) - with accommodation in a Double room with private facilities
- Half board in the hotel, as indicated by the program and lunches in local restaurants during the excursion.

Any change with respect to the original booking request regarding the number of participants or the itinerary must be notified with adequate advance notice.
If the chosen date of the tour falls on a public holiday or unforeseen event that prevents the regular execution of the program or visits, Esmeralda Tour is exempt from any responsibility for the impossibility in the performance of the services. No refund will be given.
Please note that the proposed itineraries and visits are subject to local holidays: in particular on Friday and Saturday, holidays in Oman, some sites and points of interest cannot be visited.
Payments within 21 days of departure by international bank transfer (bank charges at the expense of the customer).
Cancellations:
- Within 31 -22 days before the start of the tour - 25% penalty
- Between 21 and 15 days before the start of the 50% criminal tour
- From 14 days before the start of the 100% criminal tour
