8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS - Full Board
Full-board 4x4 private tour to discover the most evocative landscapes of Oman, particularly suitable for those who want to live intensely the Omani atmosphere between comfort and adventure.
First day: Muscat.
Arrival at the international airport of Muscat, meeting with the local assistant and private transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Appointment with the local Italian speaking guide and transfer from the hotel to the old town of Mutrah, in time to enjoy a sunset walk along the frame that encloses the port: here the sultan's yacht is anchored and you can bite into the maze of lanes of the oldest market in the country, inebriated by the scent of incense and spices and the typical fragrance (Amouge) and between bright colors of fabrics and typical products.
Return to the hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.
Second day: Muscat city tour.
After breakfast, departure for the guided tour of the Great Mosque, the largest in the world, symbol of elegance and grandeur, made of carrara marble, with the luxurious swarowski crystal chandelier and the immense Iranian manufacture carpet.
Visit to the Bait Al Zobair museum, for an introduction to the Omani culture and history. Camera step to the Royal Palace of the Sultan (Al Alam), a sumptuous building with columns of gold inlaid with mosaics of gold and blue ceramics, set in a well-kept garden with rare trees and flowers.
Visit from outside the two twin fortresses (Al Gilali and Al Mirani), built by the Portuguese in the 16th century defending the capital. Appointment with the local Italian speaking guide and transfer from the hotel to the old town of Mutrah, in time to enjoy a sunset stroll along the frame that encloses the port: the sultan's yacht is anchored and you can bite into the maze of alleys of the most ancient market in the country, inebriated by the scent of incense and spices and the typical fragrance (Amouge) and among bright colors of fabrics and typical products.
Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Third day
Nakhal castle _Wadi bani auf _hamra _misfat _ Nizwa
Departure for the Rostaq region, where the castle of Nakhl is located, one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles of Oman, set on an austere rocky hill and bordered by a lush palm grove. Continuation of the itinerary to reach A'thawara, a place known for its hot water thermal springs.
Going up towards the top of Mount Hagar, stopping to admire the majestic landscape, you reach Wadi Bani Wuf, known for its Snake Canyon, and then reach the top of the mountain (2000M), where your eyes will be delighted by a fantastic view of palm trees and terraced gardens between stone walls. Lunch.
On the way down is Hamra, one of the oldest inhabited centers in the country, all built with mud houses and irrigation canals dating back to the 17th century. Possibility to take a nice walk among the arcades of the village.
The visit ends with a stop at Misfat, a small village perched on the mountainside, set in a harmonious natural environment: between palm groves and terraces, the famous irrigation canals intersect across the mountain.
Check in the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Fourth day
Wadi Bani Khaled – Wahiba Sands
Breakfast at hotel.
It starts towards one of the most suggestive scenarios of the sultanate: Wadi Bani Khaled. The indescribable landscape with vivid color contrasts, arising from the rugged appearance of the rocks and the rich vegetation, which are reflected in the emerald waters. Time available for a swim in the wadi lagoons between the waterfalls and the natural pools. Lunch.
Continue to the desert of WahibaSands. Immense golden dunes that stand out as far as the eye can see in 4x4. Stop at the top of a dune to admire the sunset.
Check in to the tented camp. Buffet dinner included.
Night walk with your guide under the starry sky outside the tented camp.Overnight.
Fifth day
Wahiba Sands – Khaluf
Breakfast at the tented camp.
Excursion in the desert, making a 4x4 crossing on the sandy mountains that draw a fairytale landscape: between drommedaries and wild animals, authentic Bedouin settlements are observed.
Picnic lunch during the crossing.
Continue to the sea side of Khaluf reserve , through a route that sees the dunes and white sands gradually thinning until they fade into the sea, in a natural context that offers an absolute sense of peace and serenity. On Khalufsi beach you will find the mobile tented camp already set up and well equipped to recreate a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
Time to bathe in the crystal clear water of Khaluf.
Romantic evening with barbeque on the beach around the bonfire, under the starry sky.
Overnight in the tented camp.
Sixth day
khaluf _ ras rowais _ ras al khabak_ ras al jinz
Breakfast and time to relax in the natural paradise of Khaluf.
Departure to the north with a stop in Ras al rowais, another characteristic coastal town with extraordinary ocher dunes that embrace the sea. Lunch.
Stop at Al Khabah to observe the cliffs. Continuation for Ras al Had.
Check in and dinner.
After dinner, an evening visit will be made to the protected area along the beach to observe the turtles' egg-laying.
Seventh day
sur _ wadi tiwi _ sinkhole _muscat
Breakfast at hotel.
Departure for a panoramic visit to the picturesque city of Sur, the capital of Sharqiya, an ancient port with a retro charm from the sultanate, where still today the artisan construction of the typical Omani boats, the dhows, is active. Stop for a visit to a construction site.
The next stop in Wadi Tiwi includes a short walk in a breathtaking landscape, among rocks and the luscious palm groves of dates, banana trees and small local villages. The itinerary continues with a stop at Bimah Sinkhole: a singular geological formation consisting of a large crater that collects crystal clear waters where you can take a short break to take a bath.
Return to Muscat. Check in. Dinner and overnight.
Eighth day
After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for boarding formalities.

The individual participation fee (minimum 2 people) includes:
• Transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa.
• Tour as per itinerary, with 4x4 car transport.
• Italian speaking guide for the duration of the trip.
• Overnight stays in hotels with treatment as indicated in the program.
• Entrance tickets to the sites, where applicable.
The individual participation fee does not include:
• Tourist visa for stays up to 30 days, to be paid online before departure.
• Tips.
• Extras of a personal nature.
• Anything not expressly indicated in the previous paragraph.
Ad hoc rates are available for mini groups and groups on request.
Any changes with respect to the original booking request regarding the number of participants or the customization of the itinerary must be notified with adequate advance notice.
If the chosen date of the trip falls on public holidays or unforeseen events that prevent the regular execution of the program or visits, Esmeralda tour exempts itself from any responsibility for the impossibility in performing the services.
Please note that the proposed itineraries and visits are subjected to local festivities: in particular on Friday and Saturday (holidays in Oman), some sites of interest are not open to visitors.
Payments within 21 days of departure by international bank transfer (bank charges at the expense of the customer).
Cancellations:
- Within 31 -22 days before the start of the tour - 25% penalty
- Between 21 and 15 days before the start of the 50% criminal tour
- From 14 days before the start of the 100% criminal tour
