A classic tour to discover the extraordinary beauties of Oman. An itinerant tour in the years allows our guests to fully enjoy the history and natural landscape of Oman, through suggestive stops, with high quality professional services and maximum comfort.
First day: Muscat.
Arrival at the international airport of Muscat, meeting with the local assistant and private transfer to the hotel for check-in. After lunch, we leave to discover the first interactive and unique museum in the Middle East, where we offer a fun, exciting learning atmosphere, complete with optical illusions, illusionistic rooms ... you will enter a world that will leave you speechless, It is certainly an imaginable experience, because whatever you see in the Museum of illusions is not what it appears to be. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Second day: Muscat.
After breakfast, departure for the guided tour of the Great Mosque, the largest in the world, symbol of elegance and grandeur, made of Carrara marble, with the luxurious Swarovski crystal chandelier and the immense Iranian manufacture carpet.
Visit to the Bait Al Zobair museum, for an introduction to the Omani culture and history. Photo stopto the Royal Palace of the Sultan (Al Alam), a sumptuous building with ecolamicheblu inlaid columns of gold mosaics, set in a well-kept garden with rare trees and flowers.
Visit from outside the twin fort (Al Gilali and Al Mirani), built by the Portuguese in the 16th century defending the capital.
Visit the old town of Mutrah, in time to enjoy a sunset stroll along the frame that encloses the port: here the sultan's yacht is anchored and the market of mutrah, the oldest market in the country, intoxicated by the scent of incense and spices and the typical fragrance (Amouge) and between bright colors of fabrics and typical products.
Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Third day
Wadi Arabyeen – Bimah Sinkhole – Wadi Tiwi – Sur (290 km)
Breakfast at hotel.
Travel along the coast, admiring the beauty of the Omani landscape.
Arrival at the WadiArabyeen oasis, inhabited by Bedouin tribes, protected by a rocky wall and characterized by the games of clear freshwater springs, which wind sinuously among the luxuriant palm groves.
The itinerary continues with a visit to Bimah Sinkhole: it is a crater formed following the dissolution of the limestone, which collects crystalline waters where it will be possible to allow a break for relaxation and swimming.
Departure to WadiTiwi, where you will take a short walk immersed in a breathtaking landscape, where you can photograph the rugged rocks, in contrast to the lush palms of dates and bananas. Arrival in Sur. Check in hotel.
Evening excursion to watch turtles while laying eggs on the beach. Return to the hotel. Overnight

Fourth day
Sur – Wadi Bani Khaled – Wahiba Sands (190 Km)
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit of the picturesque city of Sur, an African anti-port, still today it is active for the artisanal construction of the typical Omani boat, idhow. Visited a shipyard. We continue towards one of the most suggestive scenarios of the sultanate: WadiBaniKhaled. The indescribable landscape with vivid color contrasts, arising from the rugged appearance of the rocks and the rich vegetation, which are reflected in the emerald waters. Time available for a swim in the wadi lagoons between the waterfalls and the natural pools. Continue for the last stop of the day: the desert of WahibaSands. Immense golden dunes that stand out as far as the eye can see in 4x4. Stop at the top of a dune to admire the sunset.
Check in to the tented camp. Buffet dinner included and overnight stay.

Fifth day
Jabrin – Bahla – Misfah – Hamra (270km)
Breakfast at the tented camp.
Departure for Jabrin, the most refined of the 500 castles and fortresses of the sultanate, dating back to 1670. Continuation to the complex of the fortified city of Bahla, among the wonders recognized by UNESCO, enclosed by a wall of over 12 km. The remains of the ancient mud villages are still visible. From here it is possible to admire one of the most suggestive panoramic points of the town.
Siriparte to the time of Hamra, a typical Omani oasis, for a short walk through the arcades of his village, among mud houses and irrigation canals dating back to the 18th century.
The road continues uphill: from the heights you can enjoy a breathtaking view, where you can see the village of Misfah, perched on the mountain sides. Stop for a pleasant walk among palm trees and terraced areas dedicated to local agriculture, with banana and pomegranate cultivation. Continue on toAfter lunch we will then go to Jebel Shamscalled "the mountain of the sun", With a height of 3,004 meters above sea level, the Jebel Shams is the highest peak on the Arabian Peninsula. On the top, life is very different from that of the rest of the country: the climate is temperate in summer and harsh in winter.

Sixth day
Nizwa – Jebel Shams (320km)
Breakfast at hotel.
Visit of Nizwa, known as the pearl of Islam, ancient capital of the 9th century Oman, with the imposing fortress and adjacent castle. Visit of the local market, where you can buy local handicrafts, spices, essences, fabrics, clay pots and silver jewelry. Even today, every Friday the auction of sheep and cattle takes place.
Leaving Nizwa, we head towards Muscat. Arrival at the hotel. Check in.

Any change with respect to the original booking request regarding the number of participants or the personalization of the itinerary must be notified with adequate advance notice.
If the chosen date of the trip falls on public holidays or unforeseen events that prevent the regular execution of the program or visits,
Esmeralda tour exempts itself from any responsibility for the impossibility of performing the services.
Please note that the proposed itineraries and visits are subject to local holidays: in particular on Friday and Saturday (holidays in Oman), some sites and points of interest cannot be visited.
Payments within 21 days of departure by international bank transfer (bank charges at the expense of the customer).
